Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for a Home Health position requiring OH state licensure and at least one year of acute care experience.

Details

Home health care setting serving patients in Springfield, South Charleston, and North Lewisburg, Ohio
Full-time Monday through Friday schedule, day shift (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
Caseload may include patients requiring prosthetics and orthotics, including above-knee and below-knee prosthetics
Utilizes HomeCare HomeBase charting system

Requirements

Current OH state license required (license required if applicable)
Minimum of one year of OT experience in an acute care setting required
Home care experience preferred
BLS certification required
NBCOT certification required
HomeCare HomeBase charting experience preferred but not required
Valid driver's license and auto insurance with candidate listed as a driver required
Strong communication skills with patients, families, physicians, and co-workers

Additional Information

Perform home assessments, wheelchair evaluations, and adaptive equipment assessments
Conduct cognitive assessments, functional capacity evaluations, and Functional Independence Measure (FIM) testing
Develop and implement home exercise programs and patient/family education
Complete documentation including assessments, evaluations, plans of care, and reassessments
Provide training on safety, injury prevention, and proper lifting and transfer techniques
Detail-oriented work ethic with ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
