Opportunity:

RN - Step-Down/ICU

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour shifts per day from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM (no blocked shifts)
• Every other weekend requirement
• Travelers typically do not work holidays, dependent on schedule and permanent staff availability
• Unit consists of 6 private beds operating as a high acuity step-down/low acuity ICU unit
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Charting system: TruBridge - Evident (CPSI-Evident)
• Will be expected to float to Tele-MedSurg unit
• One shift of floor orientation will be provided
• Must complete an ECG exam on the first day
• Common diagnoses and patient types include: Sepsis, COPD, DKA, overdose, renal, surgical, and respiratory issues
• Scrub color: Royal Blue
• Cancellation policy: Able to cancel 1 week's worth of guaranteed hours over a 13-week period
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• BSN not required
• Active nursing license required for submission

This acute care facility operates a high acuity step-down and low acuity ICU unit dedicated to providing specialized care for complex medical conditions. The facility maintains a low patient-to-nurse ratio to ensure quality care and utilizes the TruBridge - Evident electronic medical records system. The unit is well-equipped with adequate PPE supplies and supports a collaborative care environment with access to telemetry and medical-surgical services.
