Description
Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical – Albuquerque, NM 87109
Start Date: October 26, 2026
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-Hour (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM). Flexible 36 or 48 hour weekly options available. Weekend coverage required. Patient ratio of 6:1.
Highlights:
- 13-week travel assignment in a 30-bed Medical Surgical unit with a daily census of 24 patients
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Rapid Response Teams, and more
- Epic charting system utilized for electronic medical records
- Opportunity to work with adult and geriatric patient populations in a dynamic acute care environment
- First-time travelers welcome; unit accepts travelers new to travel nursing
- Floating within scope to like units as needed based on facility requirements
Requirements:
- Active New Mexico or Compact RN license (pending license accepted if obtained prior to start date)
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience preferred
- Epic charting system experience required
- Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
- Proficiency in core Med/Surg skills including IV management, telemetry monitoring, wound care, blood product administration, and central line management
