Description

  • Experience Required:
  • Minimum of 2 years of telemetry experience
  • Experience in a large, teaching facility is required
  • Med/Surg Telemetry experience is necessary

  • Recent experience with EPIC system (within the past 12 months) is mandatory

  • Certifications Required:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), required prior to commencement

  • Certification in Medical/Surgical or Gerontology nursing is preferred

  • Patient Care Specialties:

  • Acute and chronic patients with multisystem needs
  • Specialties include elder care and delirium prevention
  • Management of respiratory and renal issues, alcohol withdrawal
  • Infectious diseases and bariatric care
  • Acute care of exacerbated chronic illness and complex multisystem issues

  • Focus on geriatric specialty nursing

  • Additional Information:

  • Float to similar medical/surgical floors as necessary
  • Complete all work history information, such as bed count, EMR, and facility type
  • Explain employment gaps over 30 days
  • Covid and Flu declinations accepted with proof or declination in packet
  • Personal or rental vehicle is recommended with all-season or snow tires in certain months (November to April)
