MRI Technologist Role Summary:

We are seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team. Candidates should have an associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology. Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is a plus. The ideal candidate should be proficient in operating MRI machines, ensuring patient comfort before and during scans, and coordinating with physicians to ensure timely results. Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to stand for extended periods are essential.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Maintaining a clean and safe scanning facility
• Coordinating with physicians for diagnostic imaging
• Preparing patients for scans and explaining procedures
• Inserting IVs when necessary
• Documenting procedures while maintaining patient confidentiality
• Performing patient care tasks as needed

Requirements:

• Two years of experience
• BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
• Experience with GE scanners
• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Certification through the ARRT
• NYS Rad Tech license (willingness to obtain after starting)

Skills:

• Certification through the ARRT or a similar organization (preferred)
• Two years of experience (required)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY) (required)
• NY License ONLY (required)
