Description
Start Date: April 27, 2026
Location: Augusta, Georgia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 36 hours per week, every other weekend, floating within facility as needed
Highlights:
- Telemetry unit serving adult to geriatric patient population with cardiac and medical diagnoses
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5 in a 16-room progressive care unit
- Epic charting system (required experience), Pyxis medication management, SBAR communication
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and physical therapy
- Management of cardiac and vasoactive drips including milrinone, dobutamine, amiodarone, cardizem, lidocaine, bumex, and heparin
- First-time travelers accepted with minimum 2 years of experience
Requirements:
- Current Georgia or Compact state RN license (must be in hand at time of application)
- BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; telemetry experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency with Epic electronic medical records system required
- Competency in telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management, post-cardiac catheterization care, and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Experience with blood product administration, central line care, BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and wound care management
- Two supervisory references from Manager level or above required at submission
- Must be available to complete compliance requirements and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
- COVID-19 vaccine not required; flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only
