Description
Start Date: June 8, 2026 (alternate start dates May 18 or June 22, 2026 may be available)
Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Day/Evening 12-hour shifts, 8:30 AM – 8:30 PM, every other weekend, holidays as needed. On-call responsibility may be assigned weekdays and weekends as needed (not to exceed 3 on-call shifts per six weeks).
Highlights:
- Provide intermittent dialysis and CRRT support services to patients of all ages including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
- Work at a Magnet-designated facility ranked Wisconsin's #1 hospital and among the nation's leading teaching institutions
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a Level 1 Trauma environment with daily census of 24-40 patients
- Utilize Epic EMR and Fresenius machines in a comprehensive 9-bed dialysis unit
- Approximately 20 hours of orientation with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, respiratory, radiology, lift teams, and rapid response teams
- Patient ratio of 2:1 during day/weekend shifts, 1:1 during night shifts
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of inpatient hemodialysis experience in a Level 1 Trauma or similar-sized hospital setting within the last 3 years
- Experience with both adult and pediatric patient populations required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license required (must be in hand at time of application)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA only)
- Must pass telemetry exam prior to start date with strict passing criteria (100% on lethal rhythms, 80% overall score)
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Previous charge experience and community hospital, LTAC, or Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
