Description
Start Date: April 13, 2026
Location: Tyler, Texas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM; 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts
Highlights:
- Full-time opportunity with a leading healthcare organization
- Focus on Transfusion Service (Blood Banking) procedures with opportunities for cross-training
- Utilize Laboratory Information System and modern laboratory instrumentation
- Engage in quality control, specimen processing, and critical value reporting
- Opportunity to participate in development and implementation of new testing protocols
- SBB certification highly preferred and valued
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution (or equivalent as defined by CLIA regulation 42CFR493.1489)
- Current MT, MLS, CLS, or MLT certification from ASCP, AMT, AAB, or HEW/HHS
- Excellent Transfusion Service (Blood Banking) skills required
- Graduates of NAACLS-approved programs or candidates with one year of approved clinical laboratory experience including rotations through Blood Banking, Microbiology, Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology, and Urinalysis/Body Fluids
- New graduates must be Board Certified or eligible (certification must be completed within one year of hire)
