Schedule: 0.9 FTE (four 9-hour shifts), Monday through Thursday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM. On-call requirements include one weeknight (Monday) and every fourth weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) with 30-minute response time. Tuesdays off. Overtime billable after 48 hours.

Highlights:

• Participate in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures including STEMI, PCI, and structural heart cases
• Work with advanced cardiac support technologies including Impella and IABP
• Perform peripheral angiogram and intervention procedures
• Utilize GE MacLab and EPIC for documentation and charting
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a patient-centered care environment guided by Jean Watson's Theory of Human Caring
• Participate in shared governance, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice initiatives

Requirements:

• Active Kansas or multistate RN license (must be active at time of submission – no pending licenses accepted)
• Current AHA BLS certification (must be active at time of submission)
• Recent Cath Lab experience within the last year required
• Demonstrated experience with STEMI, PCI, Impella, and IABP
• Experience with peripheral angiogram and intervention procedures
• Clean, unrestricted nursing license (no exceptions)
• 11-panel drug screen required during compliance process

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and continuous monitoring before, during, and after cardiac catheterization and peripheral procedures
• Administer medications including moderate sedation per physician orders
• Assist physicians during invasive cardiovascular and peripheral procedures using sterile technique
• Monitor cardiac rhythm, hemodynamic status, and patient response throughout procedures and recovery
• Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition, arrhythmias, or procedural complications
• Provide patient and family education related to procedures, recovery, and discharge
• Document nursing assessments, interventions, medications, and procedural events accurately in EPIC
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergent STEMI and urgent cardiovascular cases
• Precept and mentor staff and students as assigned
