Description
Start Date: October 19, 2026
Location: Allentown, Pennsylvania
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM; every other weekend and holiday required; no on-call
Highlights:
- Work in a 40-bed Level IV NICU, the region's only Level IV facility providing the highest level of neonatal intensive care with on-site neonatal surgery
- Float between neonatal and pediatric units based on facility needs
- Epic charting system preferred; scrubs provided
- First-time travelers welcome; local candidates accepted with adjusted rate for those within 50 miles
- 13-week contract with 40 hours of orientation
- Part of a large academic health system offering advanced clinical experience and professional development
Requirements:
- Pennsylvania Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License required at time of submission
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required; PALS preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a Level 3 or higher NICU, or 1 year of PICU experience
- Proficiency with Bubble CPAP, CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BiPAP, extubation, and intubation assistance
- Valid references and certification documentation required
- Pennsylvania fingerprinting and Child Abuse History Clearance required (must be completed within one week of contract signing)
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
