Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) RN – Wisconsin

Start Date: November 9, 2026

Location: Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts (Day/Night rotation), 0700-1930 or 1900-0730, every other weekend, some holidays, no call required

Highlights:

• 27-bed cardiothoracic and cardiovascular ICU in a nationally recognized, Magnet-designated teaching facility
• Specialized patient population including post-CABG, valve repair/replacement, heart and lung transplant, LVAD, ECMO, and cardiac medical patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1-2 patients (occasionally 3 general care patients based on acuity)
• Epic charting system with 24 hours of orientation provided
• Strong interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, physical therapy, and more
• Advanced technology experience required: NextStage CVVH/CRRT, IABP, Impella, LVAD, ECMO, Zoll Thermoguard

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Wisconsin or compact state)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care CVICU experience within the last 3 years
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Trauma Level I experience required
• Experience and knowledge of NextStage CVVH machine required
• Experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery and/or Acuity Adaptable area preferred
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must pass telemetry competency exam prior to start (strict passing criteria apply)
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Must reside 50 miles or more from the facility
• Willingness to float as needed
