Location: Denton, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 12-hour shifts, rotating weekends required. Self-scheduling allowed within reason of balanced schedule. Patient ratios of 1:5-6 during day shift.

Highlights:

• 43-bed Medical-Surgical unit providing care for a diverse patient population following various surgical procedures (excluding cardiac and open neuro surgery)
• Collaborative team environment with approximately 70 total staff members including charge nurses, RNs, CNAs, and unit support staff
• EMR system: Meditech
• Float opportunities to medical units and emergency department to provide medical-surgical hold nurse capabilities
• Travel nursing assignment offering professional growth and skill development
• Royal blue scrubs provided as standard unit attire

Requirements:

• Active Texas RN license or multistate compact license
• Previous Medical-Surgical nursing experience in an acute care setting (required)
• Meditech EMR experience (strongly preferred)
• BLS certification
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Willingness to float to other medical units and emergency department as needed
