Opportunity:

Radiation Therapist

Job Details:

• No call required
• 20-30 patients per day
• Work with Varian Machines
• Required certifications: BLS, ARRT
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Charting system experience required
• Required skills include: Adult Acute Care, Pediatric Acute Care, Custom Molds, Custom Shields, Tumor Localization, Block Cutting, B-Mode Acquisition Targeting, CBCT/kV/mV Imaging, Compensation Filters, Portal Cast, Wedges, Calculate Dose of Radiation, External Beam Therapy, Gamma Knife Radiosurgery, IMRT - Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy
• Proficiency with Pinnacle (Philips) and Eclipse (Varian) systems required
• Experience with Lift/Transfer Devices, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Radiation Safety, and use of Rapid Response/Code Teams required
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility

This acute care hospital is a beachside facility with 266 total staffed beds offering a full range of medical services. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and maintains a well-equipped radiation therapy department with Varian machines.
