Description
Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for providing high-quality patient care by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Acts and hospital policies. The RN will demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering safe patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to patients in accordance with established protocols.
- Utilize critical thinking and professional judgment to anticipate and address patient needs.
- Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training.
- Delegate patient care tasks based on the education and experience of assigned personnel.
- Supervise and provide direction to staff engaged in patient care.
Work Schedule
This is a night shift position offering 12-hour shifts. The schedule includes working weekends, with a rotation every six weeks.
Requirements
- Current state nursing license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
- Ability to float between departments as required.
- Experience with Cerner electronic medical records (EMR) is preferred.
Patient Care Ratio
The nursing staff will manage a patient care ratio of 6 patients per nurse.
Scrub Color
Scrub color is flexible and any color is acceptable.
Location
Positions are available at multiple locations within the region, including facilities in the city and state area.
