Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs through history, observation, physical examination, and analysis of diagnostic data
• Perform all circulating duties with efficiency, including prepping the operating room and positioning the patient on the operating table
• Complete verification of the Safe Surgery Checklist in accordance with service excellence standards
• Delegate, supervise, and evaluate activities of other team members while executing interventions in urgent or emergent situations
• Serve as the communication liaison between the patient's family and members of the operating team
• Participate in assigned call as scheduled and assist in the control and maintenance of supplies and equipment

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of South Carolina or compact eligibility
• Experience in an Operating Room setting with the ability to assume duties within or outside of the sterile field
• Proficiency with computer programs utilized to deliver patient care
• Ability to accurately and completely document all care information in a timely manner

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience performing circulating RN duties in a surgical environment
• Familiarity with Safe Surgery protocols and surgical team communication standards
• Demonstrated commitment to continued professional growth through goal-setting and ongoing education
