Travel PCU RN – 2W Progressive Care Unit
Location: Fort Myers, FL 33901
Unit: 2W Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Position Type: Travel Contract (13 Weeks)
Schedule: 12-hour Nights
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse to join our team on a 13-week travel assignment. This role requires strong clinical skills, adaptability, and the ability to float to sister campuses as needed. Travelers are welcomed into the unit culture and expected to function as core staff.
Unit Overview
- Ratios: 1 RN : 4–5 patients
- Floating: Required; travelers float first, including to sister campuses
- Charting System: Epic
- Culture: Collaborative, inclusive, and team-oriented environment where travelers are integrated as core staff
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a progressive care setting, managing patients with intermediate acuity.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective treatment.
- Adhere to hospital policies, patient safety standards, and documentation requirements.
- Flexibly float to other units or sister campuses as required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of PCU experience (travel experience preferred).
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS required.
- Degree accreditation must be included in profile submission.
- Active RN license (must be valid prior to start).
Additional Details
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: January 16, 2026
- End Date: April 18, 2026
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Radius Rule: Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius from permanent address.
- RTO: All requests must be submitted at time of application; no approvals after submission.
- Documentation Deadline: All required documents must be submitted by the Monday prior to start; no exceptions.
