Will seed peds only if they are able to cooperate and hold still (mostly ED patients)o   3T: prostate, abd, pelvis, MRCPo   1.5T: extremity, brain, spineo   Try to avoid less common scan on weekends such as breast and cardiac unless the tech is comfortable●       Required Certifications:o   BLS, ARRT-MR or ARMRITo   No state license for MRI techs●       Skills requiredo   Basic MR principles and practices, use and comfort level with MR safety practiceso   Good screening habits and ability to follow policies for implant workupso   Peripheral IV starts w/IV contrast injection skills, implant workup knowledgeo   SIEMENS 1.5 and 3T experience with strong comfort levelo   Soft Skills: Good communication and interpersonal skills, empathy, good team player, sharing workload and ancillary tasks●       Support on the Unit:o   Department Supervisoro   Imaging patient assistant/transporter is staffed on weekends to help support changing patients, screening help, patient assistance on/off table, transport to ED/inpts, room turnover and unit efficiencyo   How many other MRI Techs are scheduled each shift? Typically 2 techs and 1 IPA running two scannerso   Is there a Lead Tech? lead tech M-F, mostly independent work for the weekend staffo   Is the radiologist on site reading 24/7? Virtual radiologist support 24/7. Communication mostly through teams or phoneo   Yes, outpatients are escalated to 1st response team (ED mostly responds) and inpt/ED are Rapid response team (inpt nurse/hospitalist, ect.)...different teammates respond, Code team too with all the support!●       Charting System/Equipment:o   EMR: EPICo   MRI IV Pumps: use wave guide to run tubing and keep non-MRI safe pumps in the control roomo   PACS: McKesson/Change Healthcareo   Unit equipment: Siemens Sola 1.5T and Siemens Skyra 3T scanners (both required)o   Utilize Deep Resolve (AI) software to help reduced scan times●       Floating:o   no●       Orientation:o   1-2 shifts●       Scheduling:o   Weekend rotation: once per month for non-weekend roles▪        Every weekend for weekend roleo   Will they be on call? <h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Days, 5x8hrs</li><li>Hours: 40 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Aug 3, 2026</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Openings: 1</li></ul><h3>Description</h3>American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience for a 13-week contract at a Level IV Trauma Center in Kenosha, WI.<h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Work in a Nuclear Medicine department at a 74-80 bed Level IV Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center in Kenosha, WI</li><li>Patient population includes inpatient, outpatient, and ED patients with cardiac, GI, pulmonary, and oncology cases, as well as PET and DAT scans</li><li>Daily patient volume ranges from 7-18 patients/day for cardiac and general NM work, staffed with 2-3 techs per day; PET supports 5 patient slots/day with 1 dedicated tech</li><li>8-hour day shifts; NM start time varies between 6:30–8:00 AM, PET start time is 6:30 AM</li><li>Standard 40 hours per week</li><li>Weekend rotation is on-call only; one weekend on-call every 4th weekend (end of shift Friday through 6:00 AM Monday)</li><li>One weekday on-call shift per week from end of shift until 6:00 AM the following morning</li><li>One holiday on-call shift per contract</li><li>During the second half of the contract, float into PET scan rotation at a nearby Cancer Center approximately 0.8 miles away</li><li>Epic EMR experience preferred; GE 850, McKesson PACS, and Nuc Trak experience also preferred</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience, with most recent experience within the last year</li><li>Active NMTCB certification required</li><li>BLS required</li><li>Active license required if applicable</li><li>Experience with GE equipment (any model) and SPECT CT required</li><li>Proficiency in basic NM principles and practices, including cardiac, GI, pulmonary, oncology, PET, and DAT scan workflows</li><li>Ability to start IVs required</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills required</li><li>At least 1 professional reference from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN, dated within the past year, required for consideration</li><li>Candidate DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration</li><li>Candidate's middle name or initial required for consideration</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>First-time travelers are welcome to apply</li><li>Former employees of Advocate Health or any of its subsidiaries must have been separated for at least 12 months before being eligible</li><li>Local candidates are accepted at the same rate; no radius restrictions apply</li><li>Orientation consists of approximately 12 hours to learn department workflow</li><li>Supported by a Department Supervisor and other Nuclear Medicine Technologists</li><li>All time-off requests must be approved by the manager</li><li>Any color scrubs are acceptable</li><li>Free parking is available on site</li></ul>
