Avoid Dr. Landsman he is painful to work with in spine.

I worked as a surgical tech in the operating room. Managers and coworkers were great to work with and decent caseload. You assign yourself call. The spine surgeons were not the most pleasant to work with.￼

Great OR staff

Great facility that has a lot of resources. Management helps out a lot and they really try to make sure you are as comfortable as you can be.

The staff are nice, most of the time helpful. But I felt my license was a bit at stake during night shift. No doctors in house (except ER), had to call an outside service where MD's who are out in Virginia or something give orders. Just felt weird for the size of facility it is. ICU travelers were used to staff the PCU where you have 5-6 patients.

The Picu at banner thunderbird is tiny. Usually only two nurses and one RT at night. Tamala on days and angela on nights are extremely toxin nurses and the managers allow it. One of the docs bragged about unnecessary roughness while restraining a 14 year old Benadryl overdose. This place is terrible

PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care

As a nurse PCU 6th floor you are pretty much set up for failure. If you don’t have a tech it can be really hard to find a vitals machine, only way to reach hospitalist is with an answering service which may take >5 minutes or text on your personal phone, transport would should of for a transfer to a nursing home without a patient having a d/c order and no communication made to nurse. 1:5 ratio with no regard for acquity. It felt like a culture of no one caring

The absolute worst place to work. They will float you and give you five heavy patients
