Our services include inpatient care, a level four trauma center providing 24/7 emergent care with on-site access to helicopter transport, women’s center/obstetric unit that and Level II nursery, outpatient services, a sleep lab center, heart center/interventional cardiology (cardiac catheterization lab) cardiac rehab, Walker Cancer Center radiation/medical oncology/hematology, surgical services, gastroenterology lab and a hospitalist program.

      <p>American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient setting, requiring 2 years of recent experience and a current license.</p>
      
            <h2>Responsibilities</h2>
            <ul><li>Outpatient physical therapy setting</li><li>Day shifts, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week</li><li>Assignment length is 13 weeks</li><li>Uses Altera charting system; experience preferred but not required</li><li>Candidates must be available for a facility-conducted drug screen upon arrival, including testing for marijuana and CBD products</li><li>Positive drug screen results in automatic cancellation with no exceptions</li><li>No local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius</li><li>Previous permanent staff must be separated for at least 1 year to be eligible for assignment</li><li>Must complete necessary lab requirements within 72 hours of offer acceptance or provide a completion plan</li><li>Non-billable modules average 6-8 hours and are completed during orientation</li></ul>

<p>• Work in Critical Care Unit (CCU) with 1/19 start date strongly preferred<br />
• Maintain 2:1 patient ratios for days, nights, and weekends<br />
• Self-scheduling format with weekend coverage required (14 weekend shifts per contract)<br />
• Float to med/tele units as needed<br />
• 12-hour orientation provided<br />
• Care for adult and geriatric patients in 12-bed ICU with daily census of 10<br />
• 2 years of ICU experience required with travel experience preferred<br />
• Previous charge experience preferred<br />
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS<br />
• Must be skilled in ventilator management, arterial line management, central line care, blood product administration, cardiac drips titration, and procedural sedation<br />
• Experience required with complex procedures including Impella, IABP, Swan Ganz monitoring, and chest tube management<br />
• Charting system experience required (Altera experience preferred)<br />
• Must complete lab requirements within 72 hours of offer acceptance<br />
• Facility conducts mandatory drug screen upon arrival including marijuana testing<br />
• One pre-approved time off period allowed per contract<br />
