Ratios are bad, but staff was awesome.
PCU 6-1 with 2 (rarely 3) techs on an up-to-21 patient unit, three nurses, charge took patients. Patients often were MSTele level of care, which balanced the fact that you had six patients. They did cap at six, though there were times we had to refuse a seventh patient. Occasionally floated down a hall to MS or the mixed unit that used to be the COVID unit. Very small hospital, not even 90 beds inpatient. No OB. Staff was great, manager was great despite being thrown in with not a lot of support, previous actual “regular” manager just trashed the expectations by understaffing and undersupplying to make her numbers look good. Frequent transfers out for caths and such.
