<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Days, 5x8hrs</li><li>Hours: 40 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Sep 28, 2026</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Openings: 1</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN requiring 2 years of OR experience and a GA or compact RN license for a 13-week assignment.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Operating Room unit setting</li><li>Day shift schedule (5x8 hours, 6:45 AM-3:15 PM)</li><li>1:1 patient ratio</li><li>Call required 1-2 nights per week and 1-2 weekends per month</li><li>Possible holiday call requirements</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Active GA or compact RN license required</li><li>BLS certification required (ACLS preferred)</li><li>Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience required</li><li>Experience with any charting system required</li><li>Community hospital, Trauma Level I, and Trauma Level II experience preferred</li><li>Skills in general surgery, thoracic, orthopedic, and urology procedures preferred, including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, thyroidectomy, arthroscopy, spinal fusion, joint replacement, cystoscopy, nephrectomy, and prostatectomy</li><li>Experience with cell saver equipment and specimen handling preferred</li><li>Knowledge of infection control, laser safety, radiation safety, and universal protocol (time out) procedures preferred</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility to be considered</li><li>Previous permanent employees eligible to return as travelers after 1 year of separation</li><li>First-time travelers may be considered if minimum OR experience requirement is met</li></ul>
