<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Days, 5x8hrs</li><li>Hours: 40 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Oct 12, 2026</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Openings: 1</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with 2+ years of experience and ARDMS certification to perform general and OB/GYN ultrasound procedures.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Hospital-based Ultrasound department with a strong focus on female-related and OB/GYN scans</li><li>36/48 schedule rotating with one week of 3x12 shifts and the next week of 4x12 shifts, totaling 84 hours per two-week pay period</li><li>Day shift, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM</li><li>On-call requirements of 2 shifts per week and 2 weekends per month</li><li>Float required within scope of practice</li><li>Performs general ultrasound imaging including abdominal, biliary, renal, small parts, and vascular studies</li><li>Performs OB/GYN scans including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester studies, fetal anatomical survey, and amniotic fluid index</li><li>Performs ultrasound-guided biopsy and fine needle aspiration procedures</li><li>Uses GE Logiq ultrasound equipment and PACS imaging system</li><li>Meditech charting system experience preferred</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Minimum 2 years of experience in ultrasound/sonography required</li><li>ARDMS certification required</li><li>Active compact or state license in hand required at time of consideration (license required if applicable)</li><li>Experience with general ultrasound and biopsy procedures required</li><li>Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred</li><li>Must be able to work in a fast-paced hospital setting with adult and pediatric patient populations</li><li>2 professional references required, including one from a charge nurse or higher and one from a supervisor, both completed within the last year</li><li>Valid driver's license required, with address matching permanent residence</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be considered; local candidates are not accepted</li><li>Facility will consider up to 7 days of RTO, which must be requested upfront with no changes accepted</li><li>Must work either a major or minor holiday during the assignment</li><li>Minimal traveler pairs accepted; pairs will not be scheduled on the same shift or unit</li><li>Travelers must take a minimum 6-month break from the system after completing a one-year assignment before becoming eligible to return</li><li>First-time travelers may be considered for this role</li></ul>
