```htmlJob Opportunity – Behavioral Health / Psychiatric RN – West VirginiaStart Date: November 2026 Location: West Virginia Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 3x12 Night Shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, weekdays with every other weekendHighlights:<ul><li>13-week contract with strong potential for extension</li><li>Work with adult and forensic behavioral health populations</li><li>Patient ratios: 1:15-20 depending on unit assignment</li><li>Avatar EMR system; scrubs provided by facility</li><li>Comprehensive orientation including CPI and First Aid training provided on-site</li><li>Interdisciplinary team support including pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Active RN License (West Virginia or Compact state license; pending license acceptable)</li><li>Minimum 1+ years of RN experience required</li><li>Current BCLS certification (AHA required)</li><li>CPI and First Aid (can be obtained during orientation)</li><li>Experience with behavioral health diagnoses including bipolar disorder, schizophrenia-spectrum disorders, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, substance use, and trauma-related disorders</li><li>Skills in medication administration, physical hold protocols, seclusion procedures, and blood glucose monitoring</li><li>Minimum of 3 manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years</li><li>First-time travelers welcome; travel experience not required</li></ul>Important Onboarding Requirements:<ul><li>West Virginia state fingerprinting must be completed 7-10 business days prior to start date (results take 5-7 days to process)</li><li>Candidates must be available to travel early to complete fingerprinting in-state</li><li>Approximately 8 hours of online modules must be completed before orientation (non-billable)</li><li>Orientation held on Mondays from 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM</li><li>Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)</li></ul>Why It's a Great Opportunity: This is an excellent opportunity for a behavioral health RN to make a meaningful impact working with adult and forensic psychiatric populations in a supportive, interdisciplinary care environment.
