1 to 7 everyday. I got floated to a different floor nearly everyday. Couldn't even make it a weekend on the same floor, even though that floor would be loaded with travelers being shifted around in the same way. Every floor is also set up entirely different from each other so you're constantly looking for things. The core staff were great though. Super friendly and willing to help when they could, but everyone had the same load. There was a lot of shortcuts being taken to stay afloat each shift.

 American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring at least 2 years of acute care and telemetry experience with a valid TN or compact license.
 
 <h2>Responsibilities</h2>
 <ul><li>Work on an acute care surgical and bariatric unit within a hospital setting</li><li>Handles medical-surgical and telemetry patients with a patient ratio of 1:7</li><li>Night shifts available with 3x12 or 4x12 hour schedules (18:30 to 07:00)</li><li>Every other weekend is required</li><li>Floating to other units is required</li><li>Uses electronic modules and participates in general orientation starting on Sundays</li><li>Participation in nursing student support and clinical education is expected alongside patient care</li><li>General orientation includes online modules averaging 4-5 hours, to be completed on the first Sunday</li><li>Shift may be cancelled or flexed based on hospital census without penalty</li><li>First-time travelers are accepted</li><li>RTO must be arranged prior to consideration</li></ul>
 
 <h2>Requirements</h2>
 <ul><li>Active TN or compact RN license in hand at application</li><li>Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg and Telemetry experience required</li><li>American Heart Association BLS certification required</li><li>Candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility</li><li>Facial hair must be trimmed or removed to comply with CDC fit testing guidelines</li><li>Drug screening required 12-14 days before the start date</li></ul>

• Adult patient population 
• Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
