1 to 7 everyday. I got floated to a different floor nearly everyday. Couldn't even make it a weekend on the same floor, even though that floor would be loaded with travelers being shifted around in the same way. Every floor is also set up entirely different from each other so you're constantly looking for things. The core staff were great though. Super friendly and willing to help when they could, but everyone had the same load. There was a lot of shortcuts being taken to stay afloat each shift.

<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Nights, 4x12hrs</li><li>Hours: 48 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Oct 25, 2026</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Openings: 1</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring MS/Tele experience and a 1:7 patient ratio.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Med/Surg Telemetry unit setting</li><li>1:7 patient ratios</li><li>Night shift schedule (3x12 or 4x12 hours, 18:30-7:00)</li><li>Schedule options include 36/36, 36/48, and 48/48</li><li>Every other weekend required</li><li>No call requirements</li><li>Float required</li><li>Epic charting system experience preferred</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Active TN or compact RN license required</li><li>AHA BLS certification required (AHA certification is the only accepted form)</li><li>Minimum 2 years of experience required</li><li>MS/Tele and Med/Surg experience required</li><li>Skills required: IV therapy/phlebotomy, central line blood draw, peripheral line care, starting/maintaining IVs, chest tube management, nasal cannula use, colostomy/ileostomy care, feeding tube management, heparin/insulin/PCA administration, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, telemetry remote monitoring, isolation precautions/PPE, and wound care/wound vac</li><li>Relias EKG testing required for all specialties, to be completed within 72 hours of signing</li><li>Must complete drug testing 12-14 calendar days prior to start</li><li>Facial hair must be trimmed or removed to meet CDC fit testing guidelines</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Provide nursing care within the Med/Surg Telemetry unit, including cardiac monitoring, respiratory care, and wound management</li><li>Contract nursing team members are expected to support nursing student clinical education alongside patient care duties</li><li>General orientation begins on Sundays with online CBLs, followed by 16 hours of nonbillable orientation modules (4-5 hours average)</li><li>Employer may cancel or call off one shift biweekly without penalty due to census decrease</li><li>Additional shifts beyond the standard commitment may be flexed based on census needs</li><li>First-time travelers are accepted</li><li>Candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted</li></ul>
