<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs</li><li>Hours: 36 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Sep 14, 2026</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Openings: 1</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department position requiring PA or compact RN licensure and ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Work in the Emergency Department of a community hospital setting</li><li>Patient ratio of 1:4</li><li>Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)</li><li>Every other weekend (EOW) required</li><li>Holiday coverage required</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Active PA RN license or compact RN license in hand</li><li>Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS</li><li>Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience required</li><li>Community hospital experience preferred</li><li>Charge nurse experience preferred</li><li>Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and management of dysrhythmias</li><li>Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central line care/management</li><li>Experience with IV vasopressors and medication administration</li><li>Respiratory skills including BiPAP/CPAP management and care of ventilated patients</li><li>Knowledge of isolation precautions/PPE and triage</li><li>One supervisory reference from within the past year required for consideration</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Must complete PA fingerprinting and ChildLine clearance within 48 hours of signing contract</li><li>PA fingerprints must be completed within the state of PA</li><li>Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of signing contract</li><li>Candidates who previously held permanent or per diem employment at this health system must have been separated for at least 18 months before returning as a traveler</li><li>First-time travelers are welcome to apply</li><li>Local candidates within a 50-mile radius will not be accepted</li></ul>
