<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs</li><li>Hours: 36 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Oct 26, 2026</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Openings: 1</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Med/Surg Tele night shift position requiring an active NY RN license and 1 year of MS/Tele experience.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Med/Surg Tele unit within a hospital setting</li><li>Patient ratio of 1:6</li><li>Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:00</li><li>13-week assignment length</li><li>Epic charting experience preferred</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Active NY RN license required in hand at time of consideration</li><li>Current BLS certification required</li><li>Minimum 1 year of MS/Tele nursing experience required</li><li>Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care/management</li><li>Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and use of Rapid Response/Code teams</li><li>Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use</li><li>Experience with wound care and wound vac management</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Provide nursing care for Med/Surg Tele patients, including monitoring and managing cardiac rhythms and responding to emergencies</li><li>Maximum of 5 RTO days allowed, excluding holidays</li><li>First-time travelers are welcome to apply</li><li>Must reside 50+ miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted</li><li>Former permanent employees must be separated from the health system for at least one year before returning as a traveler</li></ul>
