Pay was good, most of the staff was alright with the exception of the some of the older (20+ year)staff  doing what they want and threatening to call the union if it doesn’t go their way. Overall a decent experience!  Heads up their contracts are wishy washy, you have to stay on top of them if you want to renew your contract because it’s like no one talks to anyone about anything, emails will be responded to weeks later, and you’re left in the interim waiting for a response.

Worked there during COVID as a postpartum nurse...instead of the standard 4 couplets, I had 1 night shadowing and the next night I took report from 4 nurses, rooms 1-7, double occupancy-hence 11 couplets to start with 2 admissions = 22 pts!! Their excuse was the newborns would be in a newborn nursery from 12-6am- that was still unrealistic but I survived my 12 weeks!  There was not an ounce of team work or compassion for us...my last week I saw a PP hemorrhage of a 24 yo...I've never seen blood clots or that amount of blood in my life!! We were just 3 nurses on the floor for 27 rooms...54 pts including babies!! There is a culture of tolerance there due to the community they serve...dont do it...they will jeopardize your license!!

While working here, there were many nights where the nurses would have 8-10 patients. It was super stressful and I did not feel I was able to give my patients proper attention. Also, I am chemo certified and took this position in order to help. However, one of the managers would not allow travelers to hang chemo. Worst assignment so far and I’ve been traveling for about 1.5 years, changing contracts every 3 months. Wouldn’t recommend.
