<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Days, 4x10hrs</li><li>Hours: 40 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Oct 12, 2026</li><li>Length: 24 weeks</li><li>Openings: 1</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is hiring an Outpatient Occupational Therapist with 1+ year experience and an in-hand Lymphedema Certification for a hospital-based outpatient rehab department.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Hospital-based outpatient rehabilitation department specializing in lymphedema care</li><li>Work alongside OTs/OTAs, PT/PTAs, and SLPs along with a wound care clinic, compression fitters, and lymphedema vendors</li><li>Patient population ranges from young/middle adults to geriatrics with a mix of diagnoses including lymphedema</li><li>Day shift schedule, posted as 4x10s with 5x8s also available</li><li>No weekend or call requirements</li><li>May float within facility and scope of practice to an acute care inpatient facility as needed</li><li>Epic EMR experience required</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Minimum 1 year of experience required</li><li>Lymphedema Certification required in-hand at time of consideration</li><li>NBCOT certification required</li><li>State OT license required if applicable</li><li>BLS certification required</li><li>Community hospital experience preferred</li><li>Experience with lymphedema management and splinting preferred</li><li>Patient ratio experience of 1:5</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>First-time travelers will be considered for this role</li><li>Responsibilities include assessment, evaluation, plan of care, reassessments, and discharge planning</li><li>Skills include lifting and transfer, patient/family education, safety and injury prevention, and splinting</li><li>Experience with orthopedic conditions such as hip fracture, total hip/knee replacement, and soft tissue injuries preferred</li><li>Experience with adaptive equipment assessment, amputee care, arthritis, and neurological disorders preferred</li><li>Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, which must be finalized at time of consideration</li><li>No RTO can be requested during orientation week</li><li>If one or two major holidays fall during the assignment, coverage is required with no holiday RTO available</li><li>If three major holidays fall during the assignment, coverage of two is required with one holiday RTO request possibly considered</li><li>Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, and New Year's Eve/Day</li><li>Local candidates accepted at the same rate</li><li>Full compliance required to start on time</li></ul>
