Very very busy place to work but usually very good teamwork and support. Sometimes the work load expectations are unrealistic but as long as there are support staff members to help it ends up being manageable. Overall, a nice place to work.

Pay is definitely under what it should be and majority of the time we are understaffed. If they were to fix those issues then it would be a great place to work. Management also needs to give consequences when employees are extremely unprofessional on a regular basis. There are more consequences from security for parking in the wrong place than from management when employees are ridiculous.

Preparing the room for surgery, verify all critical elements are present to perform safe surgery. Assisting the anesthesiologist with intubation/extubation, and during nerve blocks. Ensuring patient is safe during surgery following policy/procedure with surgical counts, implants, time-out, specimens etc. Documenting everything accurately and efficiently in Cerner. Communicate with members of the team in a professional manner. Be knowledgeable of using the chain of command as necessary to escalate a difficult situation.
