Very very busy place to work but usually very good teamwork and support. Sometimes the work load expectations are unrealistic but as long as there are support staff members to help it ends up being manageable. Overall, a nice place to work.

Pay is definitely under what it should be and majority of the time we are understaffed. If they were to fix those issues then it would be a great place to work. Management also needs to give consequences when employees are extremely unprofessional on a regular basis. There are more consequences from security for parking in the wrong place than from management when employees are ridiculous.

<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs</li><li>Hours: 36 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Nov 24, 2026</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Openings: 2</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma teaching hospital requiring 2 years of MS/Tele experience with stroke patients.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Med/Surg Telemetry unit within an acute care hospital setting</li><li>Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)</li><li>36 guaranteed hours per week with facility able to cancel up to 3 shifts during the assignment</li><li>Weekend work required</li><li>No on-call requirements</li><li>Uses Cerner charting system</li><li>Floating required within scope to any MS/Tele units based on facility need</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Active CA RN license required</li><li>Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required</li><li>Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele nursing experience required</li><li>Experience caring for stroke patients required</li><li>Cerner charting experience preferred</li><li>MS experience preferred</li><li>Previous charge nurse experience preferred</li><li>Level I Trauma experience preferred</li><li>ICU/ED experience preferred</li><li>Ventilator management and conscious sedation experience preferred</li><li>Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias</li><li>DOB, valid state license, certification copies, references, and COVID vaccination status required for consideration</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Level II Trauma Center and Magnet-designated teaching hospital</li><li>Provide telemetry nursing care with focus on cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management</li><li>Up to 5 days of RTO permitted, with 1 approved holiday off, and RTO must be submitted prior to being offered the position</li><li>First-time travelers are welcome to apply</li><li>Local candidates accepted</li><li>Strict dress code: no facial hair, acrylic nails, unnatural hair colors, visible piercings other than earlobe studs, and all tattoos must be covered</li><li>No specific scrub color required, but camouflage or character patterns are not permitted</li><li>Previous staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler</li><li>Free parking available</li></ul>
