The nursing culture in the ED is amazing. Other RNs are nice, welcoming and accepting of you. I felt at home here. Highly recommend. Management is great as well!

Travel friendly, epic charting, occasional float to olympia providence hospital…. I had a good experience there, made good friends with staff and travelers, my only issue was the docs, they seemed to stall a lot and hold patients that were dischargeable for hours to avoid taking new patients and they definitely lacked in communication with the nursing staff, though they weren’t all that way, just the majority.

<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs</li><li>Hours: 36 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Oct 19, 2026</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Openings: 1</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is hiring a night shift MRI Technologist with ER experience and at least 1 year of MRI experience for a 13-week travel assignment.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Hospital-based MRI Tech role within the Radiology department</li><li>Also performs X-ray procedures including extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, and musculoskeletal imaging</li><li>3x12 hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM on set consecutive nights</li><li>No on-call requirements</li><li>Uses Siemens MRI equipment</li><li>Epic EMR experience preferred</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience required</li><li>BLS and ARRT (MR) certification required</li><li>Washington state license required if applicable; compact license must be in hand at submission</li><li>ER experience required</li><li>Experience with abdomen and pelvis, abdominal MRA, female and male pelvis imaging</li><li>Community hospital and adult acute/outpatient care experience preferred</li><li>Skilled in head and neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal MRI procedures</li><li>Knowledge of isolation precautions/PPE, contrast media preparation and administration, radiation safety, and peripheral IV starts</li><li>MR cardiac imaging with and without contrast experience</li><li>Two professional references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Perform MRI and X-ray imaging across a wide range of anatomical regions and patient populations</li><li>May be required to float between sister facilities within the region</li><li>Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this travel contract</li><li>Former permanent employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside more than 50 miles from the facility</li><li>All requested time off must be submitted with the initial application</li><li>Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)</li><li>First-time travelers are welcome to apply</li></ul>
