<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs</li><li>Hours: 36 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Oct 18, 2026</li><li>Length: 12 weeks</li><li>Openings: 1</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a Level IV Trauma Center, requiring TX or compact RN license and prior ED experience.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Level IV Trauma Center with a 9-bed Emergency Department serving a facility with 12 inpatient med/surg beds and 4 ORs</li><li>Provides 24/7 emergency care for adult and pediatric patients with acute injuries and life-threatening conditions such as stroke, STEMI, fractures, concussions, and minor illnesses</li><li>Patients requiring higher levels of care are stabilized and transferred to network hospitals</li><li>Typical staffing is 2-4 RNs per shift depending on time of day</li><li>Night shift schedule from 18:45-07:15</li><li>12-week assignment</li><li>Uses Compass/Cerner EHR</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Active TX or compact RN license required</li><li>Minimum 2 years of RN experience required</li><li>BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications required (must be AHA)</li><li>TNCC and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required</li><li>NRP certification required (AHA/American Academy of Pediatrics)</li><li>Ascension CPI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention) training required</li><li>License and Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start</li><li>Copy of driver's license, full SS#, and DOB required for consideration</li><li>Two separate professional references required</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Delivers direct nursing care and coordinates well-rounded patient care across disciplines</li><li>Implements and monitors patient care plans, carrying out physician and nursing orders</li><li>Assesses and coordinates discharge planning needs with the healthcare team</li><li>Will be trained as relief Charge Nurse and provide Critical Response support to the med/surg department</li><li>Requires strong critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work independently in a stressful environment</li><li>Navy blue scrubs required as part of dress code</li><li>Local candidates accepted, though radius rules may apply and could affect rate eligibility</li></ul>
