The doctors are wonderful. Patients are well mannered and not spoiled and demanding. The unit where I worked has an extremely hectic schedule.

When I was here, almost half the unit was travelers. It was a great unit with a 3:1 ratio, occasionally 4:1 (this was rotated pretty fairly amongst the staff). I was able to pick up as much OT as I wanted. Floating occurred, but only to other once units in the hospital, so I didn’t mind, plus that was how I got lots of OT. One of the units I floated to was a little cliquey, but there was no animosity between staff and travelers. The management was great too. Charge nurses were mostly helpful. As for being in Baltimore, I didn’t find it to be too bad. Obviously, when the sun sets, be mindful of where you’re at, but I lived downtown and rode scooters everywhere. I did not have a car the whole time I was there. I would absolutely go back to this unit again.
