<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Variable, 4x10hrs</li><li>Hours: 40 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Oct 12, 2026</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Openings: 1</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience and pediatrics experience for a Level III trauma center position with evening and night shifts.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Short-term acute care Level III trauma center with 252 staffed beds</li><li>Works in Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department settings</li><li>Uses Epic charting system (preferred)</li><li>Evening (4x10, 14:45-0:45) and Night (4x10, 23:00-9:00) shift options, 40 hours per week</li><li>At least every other weekend and every other holiday required based on department need</li><li>Floating to Lawrence and Memorial Hospital as needed</li><li>Free parking available</li><li>Part of Yale New Haven Health System</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Active Rhode Island license required to start; Connecticut license must be applied for/in process prior to submission</li><li>License required if applicable</li><li>BLS certification required</li><li>CRT certification required; RRT preferred</li><li>Minimum 2 years of experience required (1.5 years may be considered with Level I trauma or travel experience)</li><li>Pediatrics experience required</li><li>Prior travel experience required</li><li>Skilled in drawing arterial blood gases</li><li>Experience with airway management devices and suctioning</li><li>Experience with intubation assist</li><li>Experience with nasal and oral airway placement and suctioning</li><li>Experience with ETT and NT suctioning</li><li>Experience with tracheostomy care and management</li><li>One professional reference required</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Provide respiratory care services within adult critical care and emergency department settings</li><li>Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed</li><li>Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted</li><li>COVID vaccine and booster required except for religious or medical exemption</li><li>Candidates must live outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible unless a local rate is arranged</li><li>Former staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be considered as a traveler</li><li>Up to 7 days of requested time off can be auto-approved</li></ul>
