<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs</li><li>Hours: 36 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Oct 27, 2026</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Openings: 1</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PICU position requiring 5 years of PICU experience and a CA RN license.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Work in the PICU at a pediatric teaching hospital</li><li>Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30</li><li>1:2 patient ratio</li><li>May float to other UCSF facilities as needed within a 75+ mile radius</li><li>Epic charting system used</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Active CA RN license required</li><li>BSN required</li><li>AHA BLS and PALS certifications required</li><li>5 years of PICU experience required</li><li>Teaching hospital experience required and must be noted in employment history</li><li>Experience with respiratory, cardiovascular, neurologic, renal, and medication management skills relevant to PICU care</li><li>Proficiency with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and care of ventilated patients</li><li>2 professional references from most recent employer required for consideration</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric ICU patients, including those requiring respiratory, cardiovascular, neurologic, and renal support</li><li>Pediatric CVICU experience preferred</li><li>Trauma Level I experience preferred</li><li>Previous charge experience preferred</li><li>Any prior employment with University of California medical facilities or their acquired facilities must be disclosed for rehire eligibility review</li><li>All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at time of consideration and approved by the manager; no RTO permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment</li><li>Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers</li><li>Travel pairs allowed but generally not placed on the same unit; married couples may not work on the same unit</li></ul>
