Pros
the vibe of the whole hospital is soooo friendly, especially the OR staff. (i feel like everyone has a different idea of what “friendly is based off of where they’re from - i’m from FL). the hospital itself is also very clean. even as a traveler, they worked w/ me & treated me fairly w/ my schedule, which is never expected as a traveler, so that was nice !! the area has A LOT to see & experience. i enjoyed the plethora of breweries & wineries the area has to offer, the apple orchard, & the short 45-minute drive to shenandoah national park. there are also plenty of grocery stores, restaurant, shopping malls, etc. for day-to-day needs. :-)
Cons
my one con is the cost of living - the immediate area around the hospital in charlottesville, is very expensive. luckily, my mom, stepdad, & i took an assignment here together, so we were able to split rent three ways, but it’s hard to find something to rent under $2500 IN charlottesville. a lot of staff lived 30-45 minutes away & commuted daily.
