Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - NICU

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with specialized NICU experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be Level IV NICU trained and possess the flexibility to work across the Adult floor, ICU, and Level IV NICU. This position is critical for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional respiratory care to neonatal and pediatric patients in the NICU.
• Administer prescribed therapies, treatments, and medications to patients.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor patients’ respiratory status and respond to changes in condition.
• Educate patients and families about respiratory care and health management.
• Participate in patient rounding and contribute to team meetings.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all procedures and patient interactions using EPIC.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experience with NICU background.
• Current National Certification: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Washington State Respiratory License is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends as needed by the unit.
• Open to first-time travelers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Schedule

Shift: 3x12 Nights

Weekend requirements as needed by the unit. Please note that no block scheduling is available, and RTO restrictions are limited to one week maximum.
