Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our radiology team. Shift and Schedule

• Shift: Evenings
• Shift Length: 8 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Unit Information

• Unit: Radiology
• Staff Types: Radiologic Technologists (with and without CT experience), Ultrasound Technicians, and Mammography Technologists
• Workload: Patients are scheduled at a rate of one per hour to accommodate both inpatients and emergency room patients.
• EMR: Cerner
• Staff: Typically 15 Radiology Technologists scheduled every 24 hours

Qualifications

• Required Certifications:
  • BLS Certification
  • Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (CT)
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R)
  • Fluoroscopy Certification
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a related role

Orientation and Training

• Ultrasound Technologist: 1-week orientation
• Radiologic Technologist without CT experience: 2-day orientation (1 day for portables, 1 day in the OR)
• Radiologic Technologist with CT experience: Orientation will be tailored based on previous scanner experience
• Mammography Technologist: Orientation varies with prior experience and tomography training

Weekend and Holiday Requirements

• If proficient in CT, candidates may be scheduled for morning or afternoon shifts on weekends.
• Holidays will be covered by call.

Additional Information

• Provided Scrubs: Hospital will provide scrubs for the staff.
• Radiologist Availability: On-site radiologists, with on-call support if needed.
• Common Equipment: CT machines use Siemens 64 slice and 128 slice technology; Ultrasound uses Phillips equipment.
• Patient Demographics: Typical hospital patients including those in the ER, OR, inpatient, and outpatient settings.
• Desirable Skills: Preference for candidates who possess a Fluoroscopy permit and have OR experience. Additional certifications, including advanced certifications, are considered a plus.
