Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate registered nurse to provide exceptional care to our patients in the GI/Gastric Mixed Tumor Oncology Unit. Responsibilities

  • Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients in the med/surg unit, with a focus on oncology patients.
  • Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan and implement patient care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Educate patients and their families about ongoing health care needs.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
  • Ensure a safe and supportive environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1.5 years of solid med/surg experience; oncology experience highly preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) highly preferred.
  • Current RN license in the state of New York.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts from 7:00am to 7:30pm, with weekend rotation required (13 shifts in a 4 weeks/28 day schedule).
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
