Description
WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking dedicated and skilled Registered Nurses to join our Emergency Department team in New Haven, CT. This role offers a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing critical care to a diverse patient population. Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care to patients in the Emergency Department, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations, utilizing advanced clinical skills to stabilize and treat patients.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, specialists, and support staff, to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Document patient information and care accurately using the Epic charting system.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to maintain and enhance clinical skills.
- Float between campuses as required to meet facility needs, while adhering to scope of practice.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting is required.
- Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) are mandatory.
- Experience with Level I or Level II Trauma Centers is preferred.
- Proficiency in Epic charting system is preferred.
- Ability to manage a patient ratio of 1:6 effectively.
- Flexibility to work every other weekend and accommodate block scheduling needs.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
