Description

As part of WCS Healthcare Partners, you will have the opportunity to work in a Level I Trauma Center, providing critical care in the Emergency Department. This role offers the chance to enhance your skills, work with a diverse patient population, and collaborate with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
  • Cross-train and float between different campuses as needed.
  • Ensure patient safety and adhere to all hospital policies and protocols.
  • Manage patient care with a focus on maintaining an average patient ratio of 1:6.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Social Services.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar setting is required.
  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and TNCC are required.
  • Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
  • Flexibility to work every other weekend.
  • Strong skills in managing emergency situations, including trauma care, acute psychosis, and drug overdose.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
