Description

Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) – Critical Care provides specialized nursing care to
patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This role requires advanced clinical
skills, critical thinking, and the ability to respond quickly in high-acuity
situations. The RN collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to
deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care to critically ill patients.

Key Responsibilities
1. Provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, intervention,
and evaluation in the ICU.
2. Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders
and hospital protocols.
3. Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes, and respond promptly to
emergencies.
4. Document patient care accurately and timely in Meditech.
5. Educate patients and families on treatment plans, recovery expectations, and
discharge instructions.
6. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care
plans.
7. Uphold infection control, patient safety, and quality standards.
8. Participate in ongoing professional development and unit-based initiatives.

Required Qualifications
1. Active State RN license.
2. ACLS and BLS certification (AHA or ARC).
3. Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience within the last 2 years.
4. Proficiency with Meditech electronic health record system.
5. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Preferred Qualifications (if any)
1. Prior experience in other critical care specialties (e.g., cardiac ICU,
surgical ICU).
2. BSN degree preferred.

Certifications (if any)
1. ACLS certification required from AHA.
2. BLS certification required from AHA.

Education: High School

Certification: Basic Life Support , Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
Compunnel Healthcare Job ID #AN-0491. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
