Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Outpatient Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to join a fast-paced outpatient urgent care/holding unit. This role is ideal for an RN who excels in delivering high-quality patient care, performing rapid assessments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic clinical setting. ICU Registered Nurses with strong acute care experience are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and document findings accurately.
Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to physician orders and nursing protocols.
Provide direct patient care in an outpatient clinic and urgent care environment while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge instructions.
Respond promptly to changes in patient conditions and initiate appropriate interventions.
Maintain accurate electronic medical records and complete all required clinical documentation.
Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and quality assurance standards.
Float to other outpatient locations within a 30-mile radius when required.
Support patient flow and assist with emergency situations as needed.
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
Recent outpatient, urgent care, emergency department, or acute care nursing experience.
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Preferred Qualifications
ICU or Emergency Department nursing experience.
Previous experience working in an outpatient clinic or urgent care setting.
Experience caring for diverse patient populations in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient care needs and workflow demands.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
