Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse (LVN/LPN) to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced outpatient clinical setting. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with physicians, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver quality care, support clinical operations, and ensure a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician.
• Obtain and document patient medical histories, vital signs, and other clinical information.
• Administer medications, injections, immunizations, and treatments as ordered by the provider.
• Assist with patient examinations, minor procedures, and diagnostic testing.
• Monitor patient conditions and promptly report changes to the healthcare team.
• Educate patients and families on medications, treatment plans, and preventive healthcare.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Prepare examination rooms, maintain clinical supplies, and ensure equipment is clean and functioning properly.
• Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and regulatory compliance standards.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to ensure efficient patient flow and quality care.
Required Qualifications
• Active Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the applicable state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Recent clinical experience in an outpatient, ambulatory, primary care, or physician office setting preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient care skills.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience in family medicine, primary care, or ambulatory care.
• Knowledge of medication administration, immunizations, and patient education.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the healthcare team.
• Strong commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
