Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Active Georgia Physical Therapist license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification required from AHA or ARC prior to start.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist in an acute care or hospital setting.
• Experience working with adult inpatient populations, including post-operative and medically complex patients.
• Demonstrated ability to perform patient evaluations, develop treatment plans, and document per hospital and regulatory standards.
• Experience with mobility assistance, therapeutic exercise, gait training, transfers, and use of assistive devices.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with physicians, nursing staff, patients, and families.
• Ability to function independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Preferred: Experience in a hospital system or tertiary care hospital and experience with electronic medical record (EMR) documentation. Preferred: experience with acute neurologic and orthopedic populations.

• Shift pattern: 5x8.
• Assignment may require flexibility to meet department needs and occasional cross-coverage within the hospital.
