Description
Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Join a traveling Physical Therapist role in Decatur, GA at an outpatient clinic where you will help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions while experiencing life in a new location. New graduates are allowed. Evaluates assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plans based on patient needs, goals and physician direction. Delegates and directs discipline-specific therapy services and ensures functional treatment programs that support return to community activities. Serves as an educator for patients, families, students and coworkers. Completes documentation, goal writing, functional quality assessments and charge entry in accordance with clinic policies and regulatory guidelines. Upholds professional standards, state practice act requirements and organizational safety expectations.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active Georgia Physical Therapy license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Experience in outpatient physical therapy preferred.
- New graduates allowed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with comprehensive evaluations, goal writing, and letters of medical necessity.
- Prior participation in student clinical education or precepting preferred.
- Familiarity with clinical documentation systems and charge entry processes.
Assignment Details
- Shift pattern: 5x8 schedule, Monday through Friday, approximately 32–40 hours per week.
- Outpatient setting duties and responsibilities as described in the job overview.
- Candidate must maintain valid licensure and required certifications throughout the assignment.
