Make a real difference as a travel PTA working in a skilled nursing facility in Santa Maria, CA. You will provide direct physical therapy interventions under the guidance and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. This role includes delivering treatments that relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing while documenting care and progress in medical records. New graduates are welcome. Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy from a CAPTE-accredited educational program or equivalent.
• Active California PTA license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
• Experience or comfort working in a skilled nursing / long-term care environment preferred.
• Ability to follow a plan of care as delegated and supervised by a Physical Therapist and to document treatments and patient progress per facility and regulatory policies.
• New graduates welcome. Clinical competence must be demonstrated under supervision as required by state law.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in skilled nursing facilities or long-term care settings.
• Experience providing restorative programs, transfers, gait training, and therapeutic exercises for older adults.

Impacting Patient Care

Provide skilled rehabilitative interventions to residents with temporary or long-term disabilities. Ensure treatments follow established plans of care and monitor patient response to interventions. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic activities and safety. Complete required documentation in accordance with company policy and state and federal regulations. Maintain professional communication with the supervising Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary team.
