Description
RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.
Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg Neuro
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Guaranteed 72 hours bi-weekly
• Voluntary call responsibilities
• 13-week assignment duration
• Patient ratio of 5:1 or 6:1
• Maximum RTO of 1 week
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Must be greater than 50 miles from facility (no local candidates accepted)
• Navy scrubs required
• EMR system: Cerner
• Care for higher acuity med-surg patients with diagnoses including stroke, seizures, post-operative neuro/spinal surgeries
• Manage level 2 trauma patients and level 1 trauma post-ICU care
• Handle patients with DKA, renal failure, and general post-operative care
• Expertise required in neuro assessments, critical thinking skills, drain management, and post-surgical care
• Experience needed with chest tube and groin site management post IR
• Floating to other units required
• Work on 24-bed unit
• Must attach required license and certifications with submission

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
