Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts with every other weekend requirement
• Every other holiday requirement
• Float pool position covering 61 combined beds across medical surgical units
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: Days 1:5, Nights 1:6
• Call/standby requirement with LCD
• Floating requirements as needed - first to float priority
• Any scrub color allowed for dress code
• Required certification: BLS
• BSN degree not required
• Care for surgical patients including total joints, fractures, bariatric, urology, and general surgery cases
• Manage medical patients with conditions such as CHF, CVA, shortness of breath, and diabetic complications
• Work with telemetry monitoring - monitor technician reads strips, RN confirms
• Equipment includes CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen therapy
• Nurse aids available with 1:15 ratio
• No drip titration required
• No charge nurse or house supervisor responsibilities
• Use EPIC charting system
• Unit-specific float checklist and travel CBO orientation provided
• Cancellation policy: 4 shifts per contract, 3 shifts if contract under 13 weeks

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
